“ Came for Happy Hour, we got one combo shared with two people. We also enjoyed the sauce bar and the soft serve that you ask for your server at the end of your meal. ”
“ My little brother kept raving about Dolar, so I finally gave in just to see what the hype was about... and WOW. Instant love! First off -- lifesaver moment -- they had portable chargers just when my phone died. The ambiance? Top-tier. Located inside the Bellevue Mall, it's super spacious, quiet, and upscale -- perfect for date night or treating guests. Dolar isn't cheap, but they offer set menus and 20% off before 5 PM and after 9 PM (note: seafood items and set meals can't be further discounted). It's not your traditional Chongqing hotpot -- it's a more modern, well-rounded experience with premium ingredients and stellar vibes. Totally worth repeat visits. They don't do one big pot here -- everyone gets their own mini pot, and you can go half-and-half (a.k.a. yin-yang). Each soup base is around $10. For two people, I recommend ordering one of their set menus (includes one soup base), then add another soup and a few a la carte items. Noodles and rice are all-you-can-eat! Faves: * Signature Silver Broth (chicken & pork tripe): SO GOOD. Also tried their spicy mala broth -- surprisingly legit! * Fresh-cut and hand-sliced beef: Melt-in-your-mouth amazing. Super fresh and flavorful -- think Chaoshan beef hotpot level. * Shrimp paste that comes with the set: springy, juicy, and packed with whole shrimp bits! * Sauce bar: Everything's delicious and high-quality. House soy sauce is pre-mixed to perfection -- sweet, savory, just right. Loved the sesame sauce and shrimp paste sauce too! * Snacks bar: constantly stocked -- kimchi, edamame, fruit, candy, and more. The bingfen (ice jelly) is an absolute highlight! You can DIY your own bowl with toppings like fresh fruit, hawthorn, nuts, popping boba -- I devoured one before even touching hotpot. Also spotted geoduck sashimi (Washington-sourced!) on the menu -- looked super fresh and plump. Didn't get it this time, but definitely on my list for next visit. Finale: Free ice cream! Super creamy and smooth, even the cone was crispy and fragrant -- A+ dessert! Service is on par with Haidilao -- lightning fast seating, friendly staff walked us through the menu, and even mixed dipping sauce for us. Constant refills on soup and water. I have zero complaints other than the price, but honestly, the quality justifies it. You won't find this level of freshness at other hotpot spots with similar pricing. If you're after a super traditional Sichuan-style hotpot, this might not be your jam. But if you're looking for quality, comfort, and a premium experience -- Dolar's where it's at. ”
“ I've been going to Dolar Shops for many years, and this location didn't disappoint. The staff was really wonderful, and I loved how spacious the restaurant is. I'd say the vibes are upscale and every time I've been, it seemed like every table was occupied. Free parking with validation! As with all Dolar Shops, I personally like that each person gets their own hot pot, and that getting two half broths doesn't increase the price. The selection of meats and veggies isn't as diverse as other hot pot spots I've been to, but the quality of ingredients feels relatively high. Their signature banana egg pancake is yummy, and there's a huge variety of sauces you can combine to make your dipping sauce. The dessert jelly bar is a big plus, and the soft serve slapped as always. Just some personal notes: the wagyu didn't actually taste better to me than the regular beef, so I think I'd skip the wagyu the next time I go. I also think I'd err on getting less food to start with and ordering more later, because most times I end up struggling to finish what I order. ”
“ Great dining experience with family. My parents think this is the best place for hotpot. Parking is terrible. ”
“ Came here with a group for private dining - AYCE Hot Pot and the experience was phenomenal! We had the best service and the staff were super friendly. We chose the 58/pp AYCE and there were good amount of items to choose from. For AYCE - it did take a while to get some of the items out onto the table but we were able to order 2 rounds of AYCE. The quality of the food is better but definitely pricier if you didn't do AYCE - which is only available weekdays. Highly recommend. ”
“ We came here for celebrating a birthday and made a reservation ahead of time. We parked in the garage and got sat right away. Ambiance was upscale and modern. The servers were friendly and attentive. After placing orders on tablet, the food came out quickly. We enjoyed fresh and delicious food. Since it's a birthday dinner, the server brought a prize wheel and my friend got a complimentary tofu skin roll. The server also made some signature sauces. The desert, soft serve was the perfect treat to end our meal. Don't forget to validate the parking ticket. We had great experience and will be back. ”
“ Happy hour value is great! Love coming after 9pm, and the service is also good, will definitely recommend ”
“ Definitely a fan minus just the equivalency of the price and quality of meat. I absolutely loved the ambiance as you walk you - no smell what so ever for a hot pot place and really doesn't feel like it's actually hot pot. We sat downstairs so I did feel like it was a bit strange to walk across the kitchen (open) and then through an aisle and down the stairs for seating. Anyways - the set up was nice and service was superb and seats were super duper comfy! I love the creamy pork bone soup base ... definitely get that instead of the clear broth... which we got both and everyone loved the pork bone creamy soup base the most. I also love their own soy sauce mixed with minced garlic ~ thought it was really unique. They do have a pretty low selection of salad/fruit/dessert bar plus a condiments bar. I guess it's the ambiance that wins over everything. It's pricy:) so definitely count on at least $80-$100 pp. ”
“ - high end high quality ingredients, higher price too - Food: 4 stars Service: 4 stars Ambiance: 4 stars Price: 3 stars Overall: 3.75 stars I'm not really a regular here since I've only dined here less than 10 times even though I lived in Bellevue for more than 10 years, but I'm satisfied every time I'm here. I had a dream about it the other day, so I was there on Sunday. It was quite empty at 11:30 am, and we got our seats quickly. We thought it was due to the Superbowl, but it was packed around noon. They have lunch sets, and it was happy hour so the a la carte items are 20% off if I remember correctly (other than alcohol and seafood). We got one ribeye beef and one lamb combo, and the ribeye only has 6 slices of meat, though they were large pieces. The veggie plates were also good, and it is actually quite a lot of food even though it doesn't look like it. Tbh I was quite full at the beginning since my husband doesn't eat mushrooms, and I took all of them and I was like 60% full from mushrooms. This place is more pricy but has higher end ingredients than other places. They also have an open kitchen in the middle to prep the seafood as well. Maybe it's just me, but everything I've ever eaten here is fresh (other places are like hit or miss for me). Like other places, Dolar also has their jelly bar now. I took my mom here and that was her favorite. The best part is that you don't really need to follow a formula, but you can make your own dessert bowl from it. For example, I ate tons of white dragon fruit that day. The best thing here is actually the soft serve in the waffle cone. It's weird that I like it the most from a hot pot place, but I think this finisher is unbeatable. I'm looking forward to my next visit here already! ”
“ Food: Love the individual broths so everyone can do their own thing. I got the truffle mushroom broth, glad to see they have non pork broth options here. High quality meat not frozen. Service: Attentive, friendly. Still a bit of wait even if you have res. There's. 3% up charge for any kind of card you use. Bring cash to avoid this! Ambiance: Upscale, chic, elegant. Bonus points that you do not smell like hot pot when you leave!! Amazing. ”
